高考英语考纲词汇变化解读

coin n. [C,U]硬币，钱币：

Let me change the dollar bill for coins. 让我把这张美元的纸钞换成硬币。

coincidence n.同时发生；巧合，巧事：

What a coincidence! I didn’t know you were going to be in Xuancheng too.真是碰巧，我原本不知道你也要去宣城。

coke n.可口可乐：

Regular fries and a large Coke, please.请来一份普通装薯条和一大杯可乐。

cold adj.冷的，寒冷 n.[U]寒冷[C,U]伤风，感冒：

It isn’t as cold as it was yesterday. 今天没有昨天冷。

Take care not to catch cold. 小心别感冒。

【注意】在have (got) a cold(感冒)这一表达中，a不能省略.

但在 take (a) cold, catch (a) cold, get (a) cold这类表达中a却可以省略。但即使是后一种情况，若cold前有形容词修饰，则其中的a也不能省略。

colleague n.同事，同僚：

a colleague of mine at the bank我在银行的一位同事。

collect v.收集，搜集；领取；收钱；使(思想)集中：

She is fond of collecting stamps. 她喜欢集邮。

He’s gone to collect his son. 他去接儿子了。

collection n.收藏品；收集的东西：

a stamp collection 一批邮票藏品。

A collection of empty wine bottles stood on the table.桌子上放着一些空酒瓶。

college n.[C](综合大学中)学院，高等专科学校；大学：evening college 夜大

Her elder daughter is in college. 她的长女在上大学。

colo(u)r n. [C,U]颜色，色彩；颜料v.给…着色，涂色：

A blind man can’t judge colours. 盲人不能判断颜色。

【注意】汉语说“彩色的…”，根据情况可以用color, colored, colorful 修饰，其区别是：

color 用作定语，通常指它所修饰名词能够产生color的效果，如：color TV(彩电)，color film(彩色电影)；

colored 用作定语，通常指它所修饰的名词具有color的特征，如：colored flags(彩旗)，colored chalk(彩色粉笔)；

colorful用作定语，则指颜色的多样性或色彩的鲜艳性，意为“丰富多彩的”、“多彩的”、“艳丽的”，如：

colorful clouds(彩云)。
